Wendy Williams – 75 Lbs

Since 2015, Wendy Williams has embarked on a weight loss journey. She changed to a pescatarian diet and increased her physical activity by performing Pilates and frequent exercise, which is largely responsible for her first weight loss. She shed fifty pounds between 2015 and 2017, but things improved even more during the 2020 quarantine. Williams changed her food habits during the quarantine because she was tired of eating anything she wanted. After making dietary changes, she shed an additional twenty-five pounds, as she discovered during her visit with her physician. In September 2020, she made a comeback to her program, “The Wendy Williams Show,” with a trim and toned figure.

Angie Stone – 75 Lbs

Since the 1970s, Angie Stone has been a musician. She is well-known for her work with bands like Mantronix and The Sequence, but she is also a successful solo performer. Her reputation for being a touch overweight also contributed to her “divalicious” appeal.

Rosie O’Donnell – 64 Lbs

Regardless of her weight, Rosie O’Donnell is a comedic, theater, and film star. Considering that she battled with her weight for the majority of her career, that was beneficial for her as well. Her wit and charm served as the cornerstones of her career, and she even hosted her own show and “The View” for a while.

Suniel Shetty is a proud father. The actor, whose daughter Athiya Shetty and son-in-law KL Rahul welcomed their baby girl Evaarah in March this year, recently opened up about Athiya’s strength during childbirth. 

Suniel Shetty revealed that Athiya voluntarily chose to go through the pain of a natural delivery, instead of “opting for the comfort of a C-section” – a decision that left him deeply proud and emotional.

Suniel Shetty said,  “In a world where everybody wants the comfort of having a caesarean baby, she (Athiya Shetty) chose not to do that and had a natural delivery. I remember how every nurse and paediatrician in the hospital said that it’s unbelievable how she went through the whole process.”

“That hit me as a father. I was like, ‘Wow, she’s ready!’ Athiya was very, very strong to do that,” he added. 

The veteran star also shared that Athiya Shetty drew her strength from her mother, Mana Shetty.

“Her mother is a strong woman herself and Athiya probably soaked in all of that from her. I’ve to reiterate that Athiya is such a beautiful mother. Not once has she shown any kind of stress or a frown or shown that she’s tired and exhausted,” said Suniel Shetty.

The actor also talked about how beautifully Athiya has embraced motherhood.

“Athiya has embraced motherhood like a fish to water. She’s absolutely fantastic. Every father thinks of their daughters as little babies. I also thought so and wondered if she’ll be able to handle motherhood, but she’s unbelievable! I keep telling Mana every single day about how proud I’m of Athiya. The way she has adapted to this new life, is going about things and went about her delivery makes me feel so proud. She took everything to her stride,” he said.

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul welcomed their baby girl on March 24. The couple revealed her name, Evaarah, in an Instagram post shared on April 18.

Meanwhile, Suniel Shetty is all set for the release of his upcoming film, Kesari Veer. The film, directed by Prince Dhiman and Kanubhai Chauhan, will hit the cinema screens on May 23.

Chandrashekhar Bawankule, who is also the state BJP president, said top government officials could not reach on time to receive the CJI as per protocol and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has taken cognizance of the incident.

Maharashtra Cabinet minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Monday said he personally phoned and apologized to Chief Justice of India (CJI) B R Gavai on behalf of the state government over ‘protocol lapse’ during the latter’s visit to Mumbai.

Chandrashekhar Bawankule, who is also the state BJP president, said top government officials could not reach on time to receive the CJI as per protocol and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has taken cognizance of the incident.

CJI Gavai on Sunday expressed his displeasure over the absence of Maharashtra’s Chief Secretary, the Director General of Police or Mumbai police commissioner to receive him during his first visit to the state after being elevated to the top judicial post. CJI Gavai, who took oath of the new office on May 14, was in Mumbai for a felicitation programme.

Replying to a question over the absence of senior officials during the visit, the cabinet minister told reporters in Nagpur that CJI Gavai, who hails from Amravati district of the state, was Maharashtra’s Bhushan (jewel).

“Chief Justice of India Bhushan Gavai is Maharashtra Bhushan, Amravati and Nagpur Bhushan for us. It was a moment of joy for us when he took over as the CJI,” Bawankule asserted.

“I personally phoned CJI Bhushan Gavai yesterday (Sunday) night and apologized to him on behalf of the government. He has a big heart. He comes from Amravati and will certainly forgive us,” the minister said.

While the opposition in Madhya Pradesh questions why Vijay Shah has not been removed as minister following his crass remarks against Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, sources in the ruling BJP indicate that any decision on the tribal leader’s political future will be taken only after May 28. On May 28, a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the matter will submit a report to the Supreme Court.

Mr Shah’s communal remarks, which have made national headlines and drawn tough criticism from the top court, have prompted the opposition Congress to seek his removal. As the Mohan Yadav government celebrated the 300th birth anniversary of Malwa queen Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, Congress leader Bhupendra Gupta took a swipe.

“CM saab, during Devi Ahilya’s reign, women were empowered. In the special cabinet meeting held to mark her 300th birth anniversary, the least you can do is keep away that minister who insulted a female military officer and disrespected the Army,” he said in a post on X.

State Congress President Jitu Patwari targeted the BJP and questioned when the BJP would remove its “foul-mouthed” leader. “The real issue now is the face and character of the BJP! Will @BJP4MP only remove its foul-mouthed leader when the court orders it? The arrogant BJP, blinded by power, must remember – this country will reject authoritarianism and will continue to run on democratic and constitutional values,” he said.

BJP sources, however, said that the Supreme Court ruling protects Mr Shah from arrest, so there is no question of removing him now. “The government has already clarified that it will abide by whatever order the court issues. This means any decision regarding Vijay Shah will be taken after the SIT submits its report on May 28,” a source said.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will chair a cabinet meeting in Indore today. According to sources, Mr Shah is unlikely to attend the meeting and has not been sent the agenda. The sources added that the minister is currently in Delhi to speak to the party high command regarding his political future.

The Madhya Pradesh minister made headlines due to a viral video of him making objectionable remarks about Colonel Qureshi at a public event. Mr Shah had referred to the Pahalgam terror attack that left 26 innocents dead. “They undressed Hindus and killed them, and Modi ji sent their sister to return the favour. We couldn’t undress them, so we sent a daughter from their community… You widowed sisters of our community, so a sister of your community will strip you naked,” the Tribal Affairs minister said, referring to the senior Army officer.

The Madhya Pradesh High Court took note of the remarks and ordered the registration of an FIR. The court said “sister of terrorists” remark could affect religious harmony and added that such remarks may create a perception that, irrespective of an individual’s service to the nation, they may face derogatory treatment solely due to their faith. Following the uproar over his remarks, the minister expressed regret and said he respected Colonel Qureshi more than his sister.

When Mr Shah approached the Supreme Court for relief, it rejected his apology and asked Madhya Pradesh police to set up an SIT to investigate the case against him. The court told the minister that his apology was not sincere.

“What is that apology? What kind of apology have you tendered? There is some meaning of apology. Sometimes people use docile language only to wriggle out of proceedings, and sometimes they shed crocodile tears. What kind of apology is yours? You want to give the impression that the court had asked you to apologise. What prevented you from making a sincere apology for your crass comments till now?” Justice Surya Kant said. The SIT investigating the matter comprises IG Pramod Verma, DIG Kalyan Chakravarty and SP Vahini Singh.
